AN ENTIRELY VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION BASED IN LAMBETH

The Windmill Gateway Club was formed in 1978 at Windmill School by teachers, support staff and parents because at that time there were no youth clubs for young people with learning disabilities. Any disability type was and still is welcomed into the club, which was intended to offer a safe haven and social space for the members.

When the club first started fund raising took place to not only run the social activities but a goal was also set to buy a minibus and to build a garage. Now 31 years on the club still relies on donations, fundraising and voluntary support to keep it going. AND a new bus is our goal once again!
